Standup Comedy

The HubCap Comedy Festival is proud to co-present this stand-up comedy fundraiser in support of the FAR (Financial Assistance for Recreation) program at the Salisbury Lions Club on Thursday, August 14th. Tickets also available at the Salisbury Guardian Pharmacy or a Lions Club Member.

This hilarious show will feature some fan favourites from the HubCap Comedy Festival! Peter White will be the headliner along with opening act Hughie Batherson and Julien Dionne will host the show.

Sponsored by the Town of Salisbury, the proceeds from this show will go to FAR so that kids who need financial assistance to participate in sports don’t get left behind!

Dave has spent the last 20 years performing stand-up comedy around the world and is highly sought after for his particular brand of clean humour, dissecting our day-to-day lives with a razor sharp wit that is oh-so-relatable.

Dave is a triple threat in the comedy world as a stand-up, writer, and actor. He has taped numerous gala sets at Just For Laughs, the Halifax Comedy Festival, and the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, as well as recording his own Comedy Now! special. Dave is a regular and favourite on CBC’s The Debaters and has written for CBC’s Still Standing and for the 2016 Canadian Screen Awards. As an actor Dave starred in the TV series Almost Heroes, co-starred in the CBS Sports golf show Off The Hozzle, and has many other acting credits to his name.

Comedy super star Derek Seguin is touring Canada with his hysterical new show to celebrate his 20th year as a professional joke teller. Derek’s two-time Juno nominated stand-up is always a pure reflection of his dysfunctional life, but naturally seen through his “slightly” twisted looking glass. This show will feature more of his hilarious stories on the challenge of relationships with his girlfriend, his three nearly grown-up children and every-day life in a mixed-up world that he finds peculiar at best.
